Meeting of faculty members and directors of offices and academic departments to discuss institutional accreditation standards and the mechanisms for fulfilling them.
On Wednesday, corresponding to the 14th of Ramadan 1447 AH, which is March 4, 2026 AD, a meeting was held that included the faculty members of the College of Law. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the standards of institutional accreditation and the mechanisms for meeting them, with the presence of the Dean of the college, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Department, the Director of the Office of Consultations and Research, the heads of the academic departments, the quality coordinators in the departments, the Director of the Graduate Studies Office at the college, in addition to the faculty members from the Departments of Law and Sharia.
The meeting included a detailed presentation by the Director of the Quality Office regarding the requirements and standards for institutional accreditation. It included a review of the key indicators and standards that need to be achieved, as well as a discussion of the main challenges that the college may face in meeting them. The importance of collaboration among various departments and administrations was also emphasized, along with the need to work as a unified team to contribute to achieving quality standards and enhancing the level of academic and administrative performance.
During the meeting, several important items were reviewed, the most notable of which were:
Electronic Education Standard: The Dean of the college presented a visual presentation on the importance of supported electronic education, explaining the registration process and the use of the Google Classroom platform, while emphasizing the necessity of activating this mode of education and developing its mechanisms to support the educational process at the college.
Community Service Standard: Attendees recommended the need to launch effective community initiatives and activities in the fields of law and Sharia, which would enhance the college's role in serving the community and contribute to addressing its legal and Sharia issues.
Scientific Research Criteria: This item was discussed by Mr. Jamal Laqmoudi, Head of the Research and Consulting Department, who emphasized the importance of supporting and revitalizing scientific research efforts, and encouraging faculty members to participate in scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
New business: Opening the floor for discussion among attendees to present a number of proposals and ideas that would support the quality path and enhance the college's opportunities to meet the requirements for institutional accreditation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the necessity of continuing coordination and cooperation among the various academic and administrative components of the college was emphasized, as well as the need to implement the recommendations issued by the meeting in a way that contributes to achieving quality and institutional accreditation goals.
